In usual KelTec fashion, the PLR16 offers a lightweight, compact solution to a rifle caliber problem. Although it has a stout, smooth and reliable gas system, this pistol stows nicely in a pack and comes with a flush-fit 10 round lead dispenser. Or, you can run any AR-15 compatible magazines. Take it hunting, mountain climbing, camping, back country exploring or whatever you can throw at it. The PLR16 is light, but she can handle it. Although we do not recommend suppressing the PLR16, it features a 9″ barrel that is threaded 1/2×28 to accommodate your choice of compensator or flash hider. We also offer an optional compact forend, sling mount and arm brace adapter kit to set it up for your needs. Iron sights are provided, however there’s an integrated Picatinny-style rail for mounting your favorite optic. Designed for recreational target shooting and small game hunting, the PLR-16 is durable and lightweight semi-automatic pistol manufactured in Cocoa, Florida by Kel-Tec. The receiver and grip are made of an impact resistant glass reinforced Zytel. The receiver has an aluminum insert molded into the front to accept the barrel and the serial number. A MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail is integrated into the top of the receiver to allow for attachments.
